My Why
I’ve become the provider I once needed.
My journey into healing and helping others began with my own personal battles. As a teenager, I struggled with anxiety and was diagnosed with Anorexia Nervosa. It was during this dark season that I encountered the Lord in a life-changing way. Through His grace, I was completely healed—physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
Later, during college, I became chronically ill and was eventually diagnosed with Lyme disease—something that would impact my body and life for over two decades. These personal challenges stirred a deep desire in me to understand the “why”—Why had I struggled? Why was my body still unwell? And how could true healing happen?
That hunger for understanding launched a lifelong journey of education, training, and spiritual growth:
-
I earned a Master of Education in Child Studies, conducting research with Vanderbilt’s Pediatric Eating Disorder Center, and was trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for adolescents with anxiety.
-
I became a Nurse Practitioner, completing my clinical training with multiple Functional Medicine physicians who taught me to see the whole person and pursue root causes, not just symptoms. I practiced in functional medicine for 8 years, helping many others—but still searching for full healing myself.
-
Feeling called to care for those for whom physical healing didn’t come, I transitioned into Hospice and Palliative Care, offering peace and dignity in life’s most sacred moments.
-
I pursued a PhD in Bio-Behavioral Medicine to study the complex interaction of mind, body, and spirit—and to bring a research-based, compassionate approach to alleviating suffering and promoting healing.
-
And as someone who has walked through the stress of the overlap of school, raising kids, work, and challenging years in our marriage, in addition to being sick, I became trained as a Pastoral Counselor because I found that the missing link in my own healing was deep emotional and inner restoration.
Now, fully healed by God’s mercy and equipped by years of training, I walk alongside others to help them find what I once longed for: wholeness.
My mission is simple yet profound: to encourage, empower, and equip others to live free—spiritually, emotionally, and physically. Through the power of the Holy Spirit and a deeply integrated approach to healing, I help women break free from what’s holding them back so they can walk fully in their God-given purpose.
